These signals are almost always too weak to be directly used by power amplifiers. The preamplifier increases the signal gain while minimizing noise and distortion. It also ensures tone correction, volume adjustment, and balance.
Stereo preamplifiers can be equipped with different connectors, such as RCA, XLR, and USB, to accommodate various audio equipment.
