The Studio STA161I-BLK-BLK from Sonorous is a TV stand designed to offer high load capacity and refined finishes. The structure of the STA161I-BLK-BLK is based on a dense MDF frame clad in matte black melamine. Beyond its contemporary look, this matte finish has the practical advantage of minimizing fingerprints and visible dust, unlike traditional glossy surfaces. The top shelf, made of black tempered glass, not only adds a touch of visual sophistication but also ensures resistance to scratches and everyday thermal shocks.
The total load capacity of 100 kg, with a maximum of 50 kg on the top shelf, allows you to comfortably accommodate TVs from 40 to 65 inches. This generous structure is complemented by a net weight of 63 kg, which provides reassuring stability—particularly appreciated when installing large-screen TVs. The integrated 600 x 500 VESA mount offers broad compatibility with the majority of TVs on the market.
The drop-down door is one of this model’s technical hallmarks. Made from a combination of melamine-coated MDF and black tinted glass, it features a particularly clever characteristic: infrared signal transmission. This specially treated glass lets you control all the devices stored inside the unit without opening the door. The included infrared repeater enhances this functionality by amplifying and redistributing signals, ensuring perfect responsiveness from your equipment even in more complex setups.
The push-to-open mechanism eliminates any visible handle, preserving the purity of the unit’s lines. A simple press on the front panel opens the drop-down door, revealing the six internal storage compartments.
The six storage spaces are symmetrically arranged behind the drop-down door. Height-adjustable shelves allow you to tailor each compartment to your devices’ dimensions: large amplifiers, gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, or set-top boxes all find their place. This flexibility is particularly valuable for modern home cinema amplifiers, which are often deeper than standard equipment.
The cable management system, integrated into the internal partitions and rear panel, turns what could be a tangle of wires into a tidy setup. Thoughtfully positioned cable pass-throughs allow you to interconnect devices while maintaining optimal airflow, essential for cooling electronic components.

The Studio STA161I-BLK-BLK is delivered fully assembled and ready to use. This “ready to install” delivery avoids long assembly sessions and guarantees professional factory assembly. However, due to the significant package weight (69 kg gross), two people are required for unpacking and positioning.
The black tinted glass of the drop-down door has specific optical properties that let infrared wavelengths pass while filtering visible light. This technology allows remote control signals to pass through the closed door and reach your devices’ receivers. The included infrared repeater captures these signals and redistributes them inside the unit, ensuring optimal range even for devices positioned in corners.
The concealed casters are designed to support the maximum 100 kg load without marking floors, including delicate hardwood. Their design allows 360° rotation for easier maneuvering. For a permanent installation, you can remove the casters and the plinth entirely.
With an overall depth of 45 cm and allowing for space needed for ventilation and rear cable routing, the usable depth for devices is approximately 40 cm. This dimension suits most home cinema amplifiers, including larger high-end models.
The included wall-mounting kit is suitable for concrete, solid brick, and cinder block walls. For drywall partitions, we recommend using specific high-load anchors (not included) or securing the unit to the wall’s metal studs. The unit’s considerable weight requires particularly solid anchoring.

Superb product, I'm still using it currently with a 65" TV and several Hi-Fi & Video components inside, so it's full, no issues, robust and good quality.
