The Rose RA250A uses the Rose OS operating system, which is based on Android. This system allows users to play music and video files stored on a local device, such as a USB or SATA hard drive, or on another home network storage device, using a DLNA connection.

Rose OS features built-in applications for Tidal, Qobuz and Apple Music, providing full access to their vast streaming libraries. The Tidal app even offers access to the service’s music video streaming content for playback on the RS250A’s screen or via the HDMI output. The RS250A is also an MQA decoder, enabling full playback of Tidal Masters tracks.
