Battery-Powered Floodlights
A battery-powered projector works without being plugged in: an integrated battery powers it for the duration of a film or an outdoor viewing session, freeing it from the mains socket. It is the portable format of video projection, designed to move from one room to another, go out into the garden or take on holiday. Battery life is often around two to three hours depending on the selected brightness, enough for a feature-length film, and it recharges via USB-C or mains power; some models even accept an external battery. The trade-off is straightforward. To preserve battery life and remain compact, these projectors offer moderate brightness: the image requires a dark room or nightfall outdoors, with daytime use remaining out of reach. Resolution and contrast are generally lower than those of mains-powered home projectors. In return, the device fits in a bag, most often includes a connected operating system and a speaker to avoid the need for accessories, and can be placed anywhere thanks to automatic keystone correction. The built-in sound is useful in a pinch but benefits from support whenever more volume is needed. This projector belongs to the video projector category, projects onto a portable or floor-standing screen for a sharp image away from the living room, and pairs well with a portable Bluetooth speaker for outdoor sound.
