Operation and principle

Super tweeters specialize in reproducing extreme frequencies that the built-in tweeters of speakers can only reproduce with reduced directivity or noticeable distortion. They generally operate from 6 kHz or 8 kHz depending on the model, enabling better reproduction of transient leading edges. This bandwidth extension alters the perception of the entire sound spectrum, including mids and bass, by restoring the full harmonic structure of recordings.

Transducer technologies

Several technologies are used in high-frequency super tweeters. Planar ribbon models employ an aluminum membrane a few microns thick driven by neodymium magnets for a fast transient response. Compression tweeters with horns offer high efficiency and treble precision. Installation and compatibility

These auxiliary speakers connect directly to the amplifier outputs or in parallel with existing speakers via the supplied link cables.
