Frequently Asked Questions

Which Bluetooth codecs does the Aventho Y support?

The headphones transmit in SBC and AAC. iPhones and iPads use AAC, while Android devices use SBC or AAC depending on their settings. They do not support high-resolution codecs such as aptX or LDAC: quality therefore depends on the source and app settings rather than a lossless stream.

Can you listen to music via a wired connection?

Yes, via the supplied USB-C cable, which handles both charging and audio. There is no 3.5 mm jack: the wired connection is made through a USB-C port on the computer or smartphone side.

Can the Aventho Y be used as a headset for gaming or video conferencing?

An optional expansion kit, expected in October, adds a USB-C dongle and a boom microphone matching the headset’s color. Together, they turn it into a low-latency headset. For everyday calls, the two built-in microphones are already sufficient.

Does it offer Dolby Atmos spatial sound?

No. Dolby Atmos spatial audio with head tracking remains exclusive to the Aventho 300. The Y is limited to classic stereo playback, which can be adjusted using the app’s equalizer.

Can the ear pads be replaced, and are other materials available?

The original faux-leather ear pads attach magnetically and can be replaced without tools. beyerdynamic also offers black and gray velour ear pads separately for those who prefer that feel.

How many devices can be connected at the same time?

Multipoint keeps two devices paired simultaneously, such as a computer and a phone. Music from the first pauses when a call comes in on the second, then resumes, without any pairing action required.
