Inakustik Reference NF-1205 AIR | XLR (XLR Analog Audio Cables)
Air Helix insulation suspends the conductors in clips spaced at regular intervals: the dielectric is nearly 100% air, reducing capacitance and dielectric losses along with it. The fifth generation of the technology, the NF-1205 AIR XLR extends this air helix into the plugs, where previous versions stopped at the separators.
The Cross Link Super Speed conductor braids individually varnished high-purity OFC copper strands to combat eddy currents and oxidation. Symmetrical construction, dual-mono technology with one cable per channel, dense tinned copper braid shielding and a PVC-free polyethylene monofilament mesh jacket, for a 13 mm diameter.
The in-house-developed 180° XLR plugs each swivel by ±45°, allowing the cable to be oriented without twisting it in front of poorly positioned sockets. Rhodium-plated tellurium copper contacts, more durable than gold under repeated connections.
Hand-assembled in Germany, available in lengths from 1 to 2 m and made to measure on request. It is the entry-level XLR model in the Referenz AIR line, below the NF-2405 and NF-4005, whose 25 and 40 mm diameters space the conductors farther apart.
