Annular Diaphragm

Unlike a conventional transducer, the annular-shaped diaphragm used in the HD 800 significantly increases the vibrating surface area in contact with the air. This results in a more voluminous sound wave and greater clarity!

Conventional Transducer

With a traditional large-dimension diaphragm, parasitic oscillation can occur and degrade part of the sound message. Even sophisticated designs and specific treatments such as those applied to Duofol diaphragms cannot completely eliminate the problems associated with these physical limitations.

Cable and Connector

The high-performance balanced cable is equipped with Teflon-insulated connectors. The shielding is made of high-quality materials for better protection against mechanical and electrical disturbances. The gold-plated jacks are manufactured in Switzerland specifically for the HD 800. Gold has the highly desirable property of having very low transfer resistance, thus guaranteeing excellent contact without interference.

Headband

The headband features a sandwich design in which a metal layer is superimposed on several polymer layers. The polymer used has exceptional damping properties and ensures that no unwanted vibrations can be transmitted to the transducer supports.
