Meridian G51 DAB black

The Meridian G51 is referred to in the jargon as a Receiver, a device with inputs for all your sources, combined with an AM/FM tuner. Beyond this classic functional aspect, the G51 stands out through its highly sophisticated design.

Indeed, Meridian’s first angle of attack was the preservation of the music’s micro-information. To achieve this, the preamplification sections (volume and gain control) are separated from the power sections (which “drive” the speakers). Also noteworthy is the presence of a volume control using a double differential potentiometer for even greater precision.

The strength of this integrated amplifier lies in its flexibility of installation and adaptation with existing equipment. It offers seven inputs whose volume can be fine-tuned for better consistency when switching from one source to another. Upgradeable, it can accommodate preamplifier sections for turntables (MM/MC). It is also possible to use its line output to drive a more powerful amplifier.

Finally, let’s not forget that this integrated amplifier is powerful, with 2 x 100 W, delivered by an amplification circuit derived from the brand’s benchmark digital speakers, the famous DSP8000.
