The RKB-850D is equipped with a function allowing the analog or digital input signal present at input A to be transferred to all other channels, thus saving installation time and additional wiring.

The analog signal from input A can also be converted to mono, allowing two channels to have a mono output from a stereo signal. If, simultaneously, input A is set to mono and the transfer function to other channels is activated, then all 8 channels will share and output the same mono signal.

This mode is ideal for covering large spaces when traditional stereo listening is not necessary, for example to create a sound ambiance or for commercial applications. An RS-232 port on the rear allows connection to a home automation system for control and feedback.

The RKB-D850 features four additional TOSLink inputs with separate stereo converters for each of the four inputs, in addition to its four analog inputs. If a digital audio source is detected on one of the TOSLink inputs, the unit will automatically switch to the digital input.

Similarly, if it is an analog source, it will be detected identically. No user configuration is required. Each of the four digital inputs is compatible with LPCM audio signals up to 24-bit/192 kHz.
