Overview

The Primare A30.7 is a seven-channel power amplifier that utilizes our proprietary Ultra-Fast Power Device (UFPD) technology. It is designed to deliver high power with very low distortion for Primare’s audiophile SP32 preamp/processor and all other multi-channel audio processors. The instantaneous rise time and wide bandwidth of the UFPD provide a naturally fast, clear, and agile sound over a much wider frequency range. From an ecological standpoint, the A30.7 is far superior to traditional Class A/B designs by not generating excessive heat while being highly efficient.

Audiophile Topology

The A30.7 houses seven UFPD amplifiers in a thick steel alloy chassis that offers solidity, rigidity, and isolation while effectively reducing vibrations from external sources. Each channel includes unbalanced (RCA) and balanced (XLR) inputs as well as gold-plated speaker terminals, trigger control jacks, and RS232 ports.

About UFPD

Unlike traditional Class D amplifiers, UFPD delivers high power with low distortion across the entire audio frequency range and is capable of driving any speaker with control and precision. It maintains its performance during dynamic changes in speaker impedance by detecting their effects on the amplifier and compensating with the precise required reaction rate. This is relatively simple to achieve with traditional “continuous signal” linear amplifiers but much more difficult with high-speed switching “non-continuous” amplifiers. That’s why UFPD is considered a cutting-edge amplifier technology. It offers the benefits of a Class D design: compact size, reduced heat output, and high efficiency, but is also capable of truly audiophile performance.
