Each audio cable acts more or less like an antenna and can therefore be polluted by unwanted signals that can affect the quality of the musical reproduction.

For this reason, it is useful to limit the bandwidth of the cable with passive filtering contained in a black box, called, in this case, the Transparent Network.

These filters are more or less complex depending on the price level of the cables and also use ultra-high performance materials in order to minimize vibrations and other noise generated by the environment. Thus for the most advanced model, the Opus, the box is made of carbon fiber.

The filter does not do everything, it is obvious that the specifications of the cable used are an integral part of the listening result.
