Additional Shelf for Hi-Fi Cabinet Atacama Audio Evoque 110/40 (base)

Overview

All Evoque Eco modular stands feature 40mm carbonized bamboo with a choice of three interchangeable leg heights capable of supporting equipment up to 30kg per level. The ultra-bright powder-coated black feet fitted to the shelf modules are equipped with two ASIST (Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology) damping joints and carbon steel studs with aerospace-grade aluminum grounding components paired with fully adjustable 8mm nickel-plated steel spikes. These components are designed both to dampen and then allow residual high-frequency resonance reflection to be channeled away from the supported audiovisual components, thus enabling them to deliver maximum performance.

In addition to the standard 145mm, 195mm and 245mm internal shelf heights, a separate 300mm accessory pack can be purchased separately. This leg pack is interchangeable with ALL standard height shelf modules (it is NOT interchangeable with a base module).

Atacama’s high-density carbonized bamboo offers significant major sonic qualities over traditional hardwood and veneer stands, with its unique growth micropore structure providing both excellent vibration absorption and resonance control properties.

The production processes, lamination, density and overall thickness have been specifically chosen to give the best possible acoustic results. However, please be aware that as bamboo is a natural material, there will be variations in color, especially if you add an additional shelf module at a later date. Each bamboo module is hand-selected, cut, finished and prepared at Atacama’s UK factory, thus giving an elegant, modern appearance.

Environmentally Sustainable

Being a grass, bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on the planet which, once harvested, will continue to grow, allowing a new crop every 5-7 years. Due to this fast renewable growth, bamboo absorbs very high levels of CO2.

All bamboo used is to Atacama’s specifications and comes directly from a specific bamboo plantation.

No pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilizers are in the growth cycle of the bamboo used for Atacama products.

Carbon Neutral

Due to its fast growth rate and high CO2 absorption, bamboo remains a carbon neutral material, taking into account processing, manufacturing and shipping.

Animal Friendly

The species of bamboo plant harvested in the construction of Atacama’s stands is not a food source for humans or endangered animal species (Panda friendly!).

Please note: - Bamboo is a natural material, so color, texture, grain and age can give a variable appearance to each shelf. For this reason, adding an additional shelf at a later date will introduce a batch/color tone difference. Where possible, order your Evoque as a complete modular stand with enough levels to meet any future requirements in order to minimize this variation. There may be some darkening of the bamboo over time. This is normal and part of the materials maturation process.
