Naim Audio Super Lumina
Overview
Designed to optimize Statement performance while being adaptable to 500 Series and Classic Series systems, Super Lumina preamp - power amp interconnects are available with DIN - XLR and XLR - XLR connectors. Super Lumina source - preamp interconnects are available with DIN - DIN, DIN - RCA, RCA - RCA and RCA - XLR connectors.
Super Lumina interconnects are designed to minimize the effect of internal and external interference sources and to preserve maximum signal fidelity.
The basic cable design includes multiple individually insulated, multi-strand silver-plated copper conductors of different diameters, within a tin-plated copper shield. The whole is enclosed in a flexible outer jacket, facilitating installation while minimizing microphonic interference. Each signal, return, ground and shield conductor is manufactured individually, according to its specific function.
Naim Air-PLUG
Super Lumina interconnects feature an advanced version of Naim’s patented Air-PLUG technology, first used for the Hi-Line. All DIN and XLR connectors use the Air-PLUG connector, which has been designed to serve as a decoupling device minimizing microphonic interference and preserving the integrity of the audio signal.
The new Super Lumina Air-PLUG features several individual aluminum rings, which form the rear of the connector. These rings are screwed together to form an articulated section that prevents the passage of unwanted energy. The choice of aluminum as a material enhances this process. The pins of the connectors on DIN-terminated cables thus float in their ports, reinforcing the decoupling effect precisely where the signal enters the product.
