The handcrafted fused mahogany and maple housings are a realization of the knowledge from experience that only Grado knows from working with wood. This technique is used by the best musical instrument makers past and present. The use of maple allows the energy of the sound of the music to be fully transmitted, then the mahogany allows it to open up and reveal the true harmonic structure as well as the space the artist intended.

In addition, each component of the GS2000e is carefully studied, the newly designed 50mm drivers, the 12 conductor ultra high purity copper cable, and the ear pads, all work together for a captivating musical experience.
