IsoTek EVO3 Ascension 5m

This unique design consists of cryogenically treated silver-plated Ohno continuous cast copper conductors wrapped in an air dielectric with partial FEP contact, before another extruded FEP sleeve seals the construction. Each of these individual conductor assemblies is wrapped in Mylar with another OFC shield before receiving a slight rotational twist with FEP air tubes.

Ascension drops the noise floor to an inky black level, opens up the soundstage with holographic imaging, air and space, and unmatched micro-dynamics. Amazing.

Conductors: The 4.0 mm² silver-plated Ohno Continuous Cast copper conductors offer a level of purity far superior to traditional OFC. Each conductor is deeply cryogenically treated down to -196°C. The geometry and metallurgy used in this cable provide superb performance with extremely impressive electrical conductivity.

Dielectric: To achieve a dielectric constant close to a vacuum, IsoTek created a Virtual Air Dielectric offering only 1.0548 dielectric constant. This air gap is achieved through minimal contact with the conductor and the use of an FEP (Teflon) bridge. FEP is an excellent dielectric in its own right, with a low coefficient, and the first choice for temperature safety and electrical insulation.

Filler: Clear FEP (Teflon) air tubes surround each conductor maintaining a low dielectric constant and stability of the cable construction.

Wrap: Each conductor assembly is wrapped in Mylar to provide individual shielding of the conductors as well as an additional barrier against RFI.

Shielding: A grounded OFC shield ensures maximum rejection of RFI, thus preventing common mode noise affecting the live and neutral conductors.

Jacket: PVC is used as the outer jacket to provide a high degree of flexibility and mechanical strength.
