Design Philosophy

The Pre2 DAC separates the preamplifier within its own chassis and incorporates a dedicated power supply, allowing the preamplifier to deliver better resolution. Equipped with an integrated DAC, this preamplifier is compatible with multiple sources such as CD players, streamers, or even your TV’s digital audio output.

The Pre2 DAC offers a sound quality a notch above integrated amplifiers, thanks to the dedicated power supply for the preamplifier circuit. This internal power supply keeps it isolated from the demands of other system components, resulting in even more dynamism and resolution. The digital section also delivers improved sound for the same reasons, especially when used with the optional Qx card. The audio quality is then even more remarkable.

If the user connects a PSX R2, they will hear a real difference in terms of sound. The PSX R2 transmits a highly regulated and ultra-smooth DC power supply to the preamplifier. The sound upgrade compared to the PSX R2 allows you to fully appreciate the preamplifier’s low-tolerance components, which benefit from the smoother power supply.

The Pre2 DAC includes a well-designed, high-quality digital section at the preamplifier level, featuring a 24-bit/192k Burr Brown DAC and a carefully designed power supply. It has 5 digital inputs that allow the amplifier to connect to and significantly improve the sound quality of digital sources such as your computer, DVD player, TV, or various other digital sources. Our premium Qx DAC upgrade is available if you want to take the sound quality to an even higher level.

The Pre2 DAC is designed to be paired with one of the matching power amplifiers, such as the X Power, Stereo 200, or Mono X 300 Signature. For an exceptional musical experience, create your system with a CD i or CD t and a Stream X Signature or Stream Xa. And if you want to increase the preamplifier’s resolution, add a dedicated power supply such as the PSX R2.
