Inakustik Reference LS-1204 AIR (2 x 3m)

Given that in a speaker cable, the highest current flows through the entire chain of devices, a reasonable conductor cross-section is required to carry the current with as little loss as possible. This current generates strong magnetic fields and exhibits a frequency-dependent resistance in the cable’s inductance, as it is an alternating current.

This is why speaker cables must above all have a low inductance, which is precisely the case with the LS-1204 Air: thanks to a refined arrangement of the conductors, the quadruple “Multicore” structure, the cable’s inductance value is reduced so that it has impeccable sound neutrality over a wide frequency range.

Moreover, this allows the magnetic fields produced around the different conductors to overlap and cancel each other out. All frequencies are thus transported without being blocked and without delay, allowing for a fabulously open and detailed musical representation. The four conductors of the LS-1204 Air are distributed in aluminum distributors at the end of the Air helix for connector connection.

In the area between the distributors and the connectors, highly flexible inakustik molded parts made of special elastomer are used. These are fixed in the distributor with a specially designed plastic plug. The cable thus remains perfectly flexible, even in the connection area. The molded parts extend to the front of the connector and wrap around the inside, thus emphasizing the simple and attractive design of the LS-1204 Air.
