Synchronous AC motor

The beating heart of the turntable is the compact 24VAC synchronous motor whose main characteristic is its extremely regular rotation, independent of mains voltage variations, since its speed depends on the mains frequency. The high torque and rotation speed of 500 rpm actively contribute to the regularity and fluidity of the platter rotation.

Inverted bearing

One of the strengths of the New Horizon turntables is the platter’s rotation pivot. The perfection of the movement is the result of long development and several prototypes. Today, the production part has a robust three-piece inverted bearing structure made of aluminum and steel that guarantees maximum “silence” and very low rotational friction.

New Horizon NH95 tonearm

The base houses the excellent 9″ NH95 straight tonearm, also available in a ceramic version. The movement of this mechanical jewel relies on four high-precision radial bearings. The tube is a sandwich of nylon and aluminum engineered to break up resonances and dampen the counterweight-dedicated section. In addition to the truly progressive proprietary anti-skating, it offers all possible micro-adjustments to fully exploit the characteristics of any cartridge, from azimuth to vertical tube alignment (VTA). The choice of accessories is completed by the tools necessary for its adjustment as well as a practical clamp.
