Overview

The reading block specifically developed for the DR400se is decoupled in suspension by four helical springs connected to a steel plate, which is itself decoupled by four spacers to the chassis of the device. This system significantly improves the reading quality of the LASER diode and, consequently, reduces the intervention of error correction circuits. When listening, this translates into great finesse of timbres and a sumptuous delicacy in the treble.

The chassis features solid aluminum sides machined from solid material to ensure perfect mechanical inertia. Moreover, the original shape has been designed to best absorb all vibrations.

The digital signals are perfectly shielded and follow an optimized path to counter jitter effects. The use of two independent converters for each channel avoids any crosstalk and considerably improves the signal-to-noise ratio and dynamics.

Long hours of listening correlated with measurements then allowed us to refine these settings in an extremely precise way to subtly combine sound material and details of the reproduction.
