Interference mainly occurs on the power grid when an appliance is turned on or off, but disturbances can also be induced by neighboring industries or building elevators. Computers, refrigerators, washing machines, clothes dryers, electric drills, and many other devices connected to the mains power can also cause interference.

Slight distortion on your mains power is difficult to detect; you need the help of special measuring equipment. However, the effect of the distortion is very audible. You need a special filter to clean your mains power without slowing down the currents.

The Noise Eater is a parallel filter, which means that the mains power current supplying your audio equipment will not pass through the filter components. In fact, the filter only “monitors” the mains power and then traps the distortion signals. The currents will not slow down, and the distortion will be gone!

The Noise Eater circuit has been extensively tested to ensure that the sonic character of the music remains intact! The circuit itself has been cast in resin to prevent it from vibrating. Even the Noise Eater’s shell is a solid piece of POM-C material shaped by a CNC lathe.

What to expect?

The Noise Eater removes disturbances and noise from the mains power. Because the mains current “passes through” the filter, it will not produce heat.

The sonic character of your system will certainly not change, but the calmness of the sound and the stability of the image will be very noticeable, especially during working hours when there are more disturbances on the mains.

Where to use?

Like the Pulse Protector, the Noise Eater should also be placed close to your equipment, preferably in the same (wall) outlet where the power cords of the audio equipment are also connected.

The Noise Eater can be used for devices such as CD players, D/A converters, tuners, phono stages, but amplifiers will also benefit, even the largest ones! Multiple Noise Eaters in one (wall) outlet are in most cases unnecessary; one Noise Eater in each (wall) outlet is a good idea, but feel free to experiment…

The Noise Eater is not phase-critical; you can simply plug the Noise Eater into the wall outlet or power strip.
