The speaker is made of over a hundred wooden panels, assembled with the highest quality adhesives and fasteners. The cherry veneer, primarily visible on the front of the bass cabinet and the top of the mid/high cabinet, is perfectly matched between the left and right speakers, creating an aesthetically pleasing and cohesive appearance.

The Klipschorn AK6 is a three-way, fully horn-loaded speaker designed to deliver a sonic experience like no other. It is equipped with a 15-inch woofer, loaded by a folded horn, capable of producing bass down to 33 Hz. The bass delivered by the Klipschorn AK6 is incomparable to that of any other speaker or subwoofer producing the same frequencies.

It is taut and precise, with no delay. The midrange frequencies are handled by a 2-inch diaphragm with a compression chamber. The tweeter, designed to ensure accurate and detailed reproduction, brings out the details and harmonics that bring music to life without ever being excessively bright or fatiguing.

The Klipschorn AK6 can reach a sound level of 105 dB at a distance of one meter for one watt of input. To fully exploit its potential, it is recommended to pair it with high-end amplifiers, using power blocks to drive the bass speakers, and a softer amplifier for the mid/high section. With a power handling of 100 W and an impressive maximum sound level of 121 dB, this speaker promises a powerful and immersive sonic experience.

Technology: Innovation Meets Tradition

The Klipschorn AK6 employs a simple but effective principle: three powerful speakers, for as many ways, two of which are horn-loaded. The use of the horn considerably reduces the excursion of the speaker diaphragms, thus minimizing distortion while increasing efficiency.

Moreover, the horns “carry” the sound further, and losses, especially in high frequencies, are minimal compared to conventional speakers. The Klipschorn AK6 is equipped with a neodymium tweeter with a 1” polyimide diaphragm and a copper-clad aluminum voice coil. This lightweight diaphragm assembly and powerful magnetic structure create the tweeter’s extremely high sensitivity of 109dB.
