Beyerdynamic TYGR 300 R Headphones: Immersive Sound for Gaming

The TYGR 300 R is an open gaming headset that reinvents professional sound for gamers. With its innovative acoustic design and great comfort, it offers a unique sound experience that takes gaming to another level. Dive into sound environments with unprecedented spatialization and realism.

Balanced Sound and Precise Localization for Gamers

Specifically tailored to the needs of ambitious gamers, the TYGR 300 R delivers an extended sound field allowing for quick and precise localization of in-game sounds. Its open design and innovative acoustic fabric enhance sound spatialization. The result is perfectly balanced sound for an astounding gaming experience.

Optimal Comfort for Long Sessions

Designed for long-term use, the TYGR 300 R is a durable investment. The premium materials used are carefully hand-assembled by highly skilled experts in Germany. This level of craftsmanship translates into unique quality and a comfortable fit, even during very long gaming sessions.

USB FOX Microphone (Optional)

The TYGR 300 R gaming headset is also available as TEAM TYGR, in combination with the USB FOX microphone. The latter captures every sound with exceptional precision, placing you in the ideal strategic leader role. With its studio-quality broadcast, compatible on all platforms, it elevates your gaming experience to a whole new level.

Clear and Detailed Sound Across All Frequencies

The TYGR 300 R offers precise sound across the entire spectrum, with a slight bass emphasis, but much less pronounced than most gaming headsets. In-game, this means all types of sounds come through clearly and distinctly. You won’t miss footsteps or character voices drowned out by the booming bass of explosions and gunfire.

Faithful Reproduction for All Music Styles

When listening to music, the TYGR 300 R allows you to easily distinguish string and lighter instruments, even on tracks where the bass line is prominent. Details often lost with overly bass-heavy gaming headsets. On “Telepathic” by Rose Hill Drive, for example, the headset had no trouble bringing out the background maracas despite the prominent presence of guitar and bass.

Open Acoustic Design for a Realistic Soundstage

Thanks to its open design, the TYGR 300 R recreates a vast and realistic soundstage, ideal for immersion in solo games where atmosphere is key. While the headset doesn’t include surround functions, the built-in surround options in some games like Overwatch can further enhance the sense of space. The downside is limited sound isolation: the headset won’t completely block out surrounding noise.

Is the TYGR 300 R compatible with the PS5 and Xbox Series X?

Yes, the TYGR 300 R works with the PS5 and Xbox Series X by plugging it into the controller’s jack. Being a passive headset, the maximum volume will depend on the performance of the console’s built-in sound card. With the PS5 controller, standard jack plugs tend to be a bit looser than usual, which can lead to microphone disconnection.

What is the difference between the TYGR 300 R and the MMX 300?

The TYGR 300 R uses a specially developed acoustic fabric that offers better high-frequency sound reproduction compared to the MMX 300. Additionally, the MMX 300 is a closed-back headset with a microphone, whereas the TYGR 300 R is an open-back headset without a mic.

Why does the TYGR 300 R use an open design?

The open design of the TYGR 300 R allows for a wide and natural soundstage, ideal for immersive gaming. It enhances sound spatialization. However, the trade-off is that sound isolation is more limited compared to a closed-back headset.
