- THE MIRACLE WORKER: A NEW BENCHMARK -
Coupled with its dedicated power supply, this amp/preamp DAC is absolutely unique on the market in terms of adjustment flexibility and performance.
Put simply: it transforms every pair of headphones or speakers you hook up to it.
There will undoubtedly be a before and after once you’ve used this product...
Now, it’s not perfect:
the signal‑to‑noise ratio is average, volume adjustment is tedious, menu navigation via the remote is not very ergonomic or intuitive (it’s easier using the touchscreen).
But these flaws are quickly forgotten as soon as you start tweaking the (entirely analog) settings: the DAMPING FACTOR propels the listening experience to a whole new level.
The HARMAN curves and crossfeed (as needed) add a touch of subtle flair, clearly audible yet wonderfully musical.
Cranking the gain up to HIGH (if needed) brings extra speed and energy.
The DAC section is quite simply the most “analog‑sounding” I’ve ever heard (outside of tube DACs).
No digital artifacts to report, no sibilance or harshness: it’s remarkable.
With or without the DAC, the sound is full, lively, energetic, and addictive.
Note that the output level is very high if needed: you’ll struggle to go past volume 40 (out of 100).
Depending on the settings, the particularly successful bass range may seem slightly forward.
If your system is already heavy in that region, some fine‑tuning will be in order. But what drive, what energy!!
And on top of that, it’s versatile: RCA/XLR inputs and outputs, DAC, Bluetooth, 4 (!) balanced or unbalanced headphone outputs... It can find a place in any setup.
So before changing your headphones, amp, or speakers, listening to this combo is highly recommended.
For my part, it’s the most radical change I’ve ever experienced with any piece of gear in my system.

Excellent headphone amp offering so many different combinations that I no longer even use my amplifiers anymore—but in the end, isn’t that the whole point?
Paired with a Meze headphone, it makes for a coherent and explosive setup; what a joy to listen to female voices like Véronique Sanson, Joan Baez... and that’s only the beginning.
It makes you wonder if it couldn’t be used as a preamplifier; I’m thinking I might try it with my “old” Quad 405.
