The GECKO wall mount is Devialet’s mounting solution designed to accompany the launch of the new Phantom Ultimate 98 dB speakers. This new generation of high-performance speakers requires a mount that combines structural robustness with positioning flexibility, optimizing acoustics while preserving the clean visual signature of the French brand.

Dual-material construction for the new Phantom Ultimate

GECKO features a two-part design, specifically sized for Phantom Ultimate. The treated-steel wall plate supports the weight of the forthcoming speakers without flex. This base houses a sophisticated pivot mechanism offering ±45 degrees of horizontal rotation, crucial for fully leveraging the acoustic capabilities of Phantom Ultimate.

Precision bearings ensure smooth rotation while firmly holding the chosen position. The matte white electrostatic powder-coated finish harmonizes with the aesthetics of the upcoming Phantom Ultimate. This UV-resistant finish retains its original appearance over time, creating visual continuity between mount and speaker.

Acoustic optimization for the new Phantom generation

Wall positioning via GECKO leverages advanced acoustic principles. Installing in room corners fully exploits the enhanced sound dispersion capabilities of Phantom Ultimate, creating beneficial acoustic coupling with adjacent surfaces.

For stereo setups, a minimum spacing of one meter between two GECKO mounts ensures an optimal soundstage. The mount maintains a mandatory 5 centimeters between the drivers and the wall, accommodating the significant diaphragm excursions of this new generation while preventing early reflections.
