The FS5 were specifically designed to accommodate the substantial Vintage Classic VIII SM speakers, whose dimensions of 540 x 330 x 294 mm and unit weight of 16.1 kg require a particularly robust and stable stand. The laser-cut steel top plate, machined to millimetric precision at 5 mm thick, provides a 325 x 255 mm support surface perfectly matched to the footprint of these high-end bookshelf speakers.

This dimensional alignment is no accident. Fyne Audio’s engineers have calculated the optimal proportions to guarantee not only mechanical stability but also ideal acoustic alignment. The 420 mm height (excluding spikes) positions the Vintage Classic VIII SM’s 200 mm IsoFlare coaxial driver at optimal listening height for a standard seated setup, thereby creating the perfect stereophonic triangle sought by purists.
