Frequently asked questions

Does the TQ77S92F use a QD-OLED or WOLED panel?

For the S92F series in Europe, only the 65-inch size uses a QD-OLED panel, while all other sizes (42”, 48”, 55”, 77” and 83”) use WOLED panels. Samsung does not manufacture QD-OLED panels in 42, 48 and 83 inches, so these sizes always use WOLED panels regardless of the market.

How does compatibility with voice assistants work?

The television natively integrates Bixby and Alexa. Bixby is activated via the microphone button on the remote control or by voice command after configuration. The assistant can control all television functions, search for content, answer general questions, and control connected SmartThings devices. Alexa offers similar functionality with the advantage of integrating into an existing Amazon ecosystem. Both assistants can coexist and be used according to preferences.

Does the Multi View function really allow two 4K sources to be displayed simultaneously?

Multi View splits the screen to display up to two different sources. Each window can display Full HD content (1920x1080) with sharp rendering thanks to the panel’s native 4K resolution. It is not possible to display two native 4K sources simultaneously at full resolution, but intelligent upscaling maintains excellent visual quality. This function proves particularly useful for following two sporting events or combining gaming and streaming.

Can the artificial intelligence functions be completely disabled?

AI processing can be adjusted or disabled individually via the advanced menus. “Filmmaker” mode automatically disables most processing to respect the original creative intent. However, certain basic functions such as OLED panel management remain active to ensure proper operation and device longevity. Purists can thus precisely customize the level of processor intervention according to their preferences.
