Clic Classic Series Model 13S
Overview
The Classic Series Model 13S by Clic stands out as an audio-video storage solution designed for modern setups. At 152 cm long, this Danish cabinet combines local handcraftsmanship with modularity, accommodating both soundbars and traditional hi-fi components. Its design without a fixed back panel and its removable magnetic plates make cable management easier while preserving the installation’s aesthetics.
Handcrafted construction that makes a difference
The Model 13S is built using an exclusive assembly technique developed by Clic, creating a stable structure without the need for a fixed back panel. This technical feat isn’t just about looks: it greatly simplifies access to equipment and cables—something anyone who’s tried to hook up an amplifier inside a closed cabinet will appreciate.
Manufacturing is carried out entirely by hand in Danish workshops. Craftspeople assemble each unit individually, then apply the water-based paint after assembly. This inverted process compared to standard industrial methods ensures a flawless finish on all surfaces, including edges and corners where imperfections usually show. Each unit undergoes meticulous quality control before shipping.
The materials reflect this commitment: durable water-based paints, carefully selected oak and walnut veneers, and door fabrics available in ten shades. The cabinet’s robustness allows it to support a high load without sagging, even after years of daily use.
Modularity designed for contemporary installations
One of the Model 13S’s major strengths lies in its layout versatility. Depending on the chosen configuration (open model or with door), the internal space is distributed differently to suit specific needs. In soundbar mode, interior width reaches 1478 mm with a depth of 168 mm (open model) or 152 mm (with door). For traditional equipment, these dimensions are 482 mm wide and 205 mm or 183.5 mm deep, respectively.
This flexibility is complemented by a thoughtfully designed cable management system. A central cable pass runs through the top panel, supplemented by a second pass beneath the cabinet. Clic even offers customization of this layout: adding extra cable passes or removing the ones on the top panel entirely, depending on installation preferences.
The removable rear plates, held by magnets rather than screws, are positioned 5 cm from the back of the cabinet. This gap provides ample space for connections while concealing cables. The integrated cable pass holes can be removed on request, once again adapting to the real needs of each installation.
Finishes and integration into your space
The Model 13S comes in several finishes to suit a variety of aesthetics. The painted versions offer four colors—white, black, grey, and light grey—while fans of natural wood can opt for oak or walnut veneers. Fabric doors, available in ten colors (charcoal, frost, coffee, black, dark blue, concrete, latte, basalt grey, white, olive green), add a pleasing tactile and acoustic dimension, as they let infrared signals and sound pass through without significant alteration.
The external dimensions (1522 × 265 × 205 mm) allow the cabinet to fit beneath most wall-mounted TVs or on sideboards while maintaining a coherent visual presence. The modest height of 205 mm avoids obstructing the view of lower-placed screens.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install a large soundbar inside this cabinet?
Yes, the Model 13S is specifically designed to accommodate soundbars. In the dedicated configuration, the interior space provides up to 1478 mm in width with a depth of 168 mm (open model) or 152 mm (with door). These dimensions suit most soundbars on the market, including large premium models.
How does the remote work through the fabric doors?
The fabric doors let infrared signals pass through effortlessly. You can control your equipment without opening the doors. The fabric also allows natural sound dispersion, which is especially beneficial if you place a center speaker or a soundbar behind the door.
Is the paint resistant to marks and impacts?
Clic uses a water-based paint applied by hand after assembly, ensuring uniform coverage and crisp edges. This paint offers good resistance to everyday marks and minor impacts. Post-assembly application also eliminates the risk of chipping at joints, which is common on industrially painted furniture.
Can I modify the cable pass layout?
Absolutely. The cabinet comes with a central cable pass on the top panel and one underneath the unit. However, Clic offers customization: you can order additional cable passes or request complete removal of those on the top panel if your setup doesn’t require them.
Are the rear plates easy to remove for maintenance?
The rear plates are held by magnets rather than screws, making them very easy to remove and reattach. This allows quick access to equipment and cables without tools—a considerable advantage when reorganizing or adding new devices. The plates are positioned 5 cm from the back, leaving generous space for connections.
