The Classic Series Model 240 by Clic is a 202 cm wide audio-video cabinet offering four fully customizable modular compartments. Handcrafted construction based on proven principles
The Model 240 measures 366 mm in height, 2020 mm in width, and 375 mm in depth. It consists of four identical compartments, called “rooms,” which can be configured as needed: open, closed with a wooden door, or fitted with a fabric door. Each compartment includes an adjustable shelf with three different positions and a removable rear plate mounted on magnets. It is also possible to add two drawers per compartment to optimize storage.
The interior dimensions vary slightly depending on the chosen configuration. An open compartment offers 322 mm in height, 482 mm in width, and 314 mm in depth (363 mm without the rear plate). With a door, the depth is reduced to 298 mm (347 mm without the rear plate). This difference is due to the thickness of the doors and the opening mechanism.
Clic’s manufacturing technique is based on an unusual principle: the absence of a fixed back panel. This approach provides a stable frame while maintaining great flexibility in layout. The structure easily supports substantial weight, whether the cabinet is placed on the floor on feet or mounted on the wall.
Once assembled, the cabinet is hand-painted. This method ensures crisp edges and perfectly sealed joints. The paint used is water-based, resistant to wear and fading. The available finishes include four matte paints—white, black, grey, light grey—and two natural wood veneers: oak and walnut.
A meticulously designed cable management system
One of the major strengths of the Model 240 lies in its cable management. A centered cable grommet is integrated into the top panel, while a second grommet is located at the lower back of the cabinet. The rear plates, set 5 cm from the back, create a hidden space for cable routing. Mounted on magnets, they can be easily removed to access the back of the cabinet during installation or adjustments.
These rear plates also feature openings for cables but can be ordered without holes if the user prefers no visible pass-through. Likewise, the top panel can accommodate additional grommets or be supplied without any openings.
To perfect the setup, Clic offers five types of cable covers in aluminum or brass, available in three finishes: silver, black, and brass. Each cable cover features a discreet engraving of the Clic logo and fits all models in the range.
Extensive customization options
The fabric doors come in ten colors: Coal, Frost, Coffee, Black, Dark Blue, Concrete, Latte, Basalt Grey, White, and Olive Green. These shades allow the cabinet to harmonize with various interior styles, from the most understated to the warmest.
The shelves are 16 mm thick and can be positioned at three distinct levels. Additional shelves are available as an option to increase storage capacity. The internal drawers—up to two per compartment—provide a closed storage solution for small items or accessories.
For installation, users have two options. The Model 240 can be placed on the floor on aluminum feet specially designed by Clic. These feet, machined from a single piece of aluminum, feature adjustable glides to fine-tune the height and compensate for floor irregularities. They come in black and silver. A single set of feet is sufficient for one cabinet and is automatically supplied if the model requires a support.
The other option is to mount the cabinet on the wall using the Clic Wall Bracket. This system allows the cabinet to be flush against the wall while retaining the ability to level it. The secure mounting ensures stability even when the cabinet supports heavy equipment.
