Clic Classic Series Model 121
Overview
Clic’s Model 121 blends Scandinavian minimalism with functionality tailored for audio-video installations. This piece from the Classic series, featuring two compartments and a depth of 45.5 cm, fits into a modular system of 73 different models to create a custom solution. Handcrafted entirely in Denmark using traditional craftsmanship, it conceals cables and equipment while preserving sound quality.
Two compartments, multiple configurations
The Model 121 measures 1,024 mm in width, 205 mm in height, and 455 mm in depth. Its two identical compartments each offer 162 mm in height, 482 mm in width, and 394 mm of usable depth (443 mm without the rear panel). When a door is installed, the available depth becomes 378 mm (427 mm without the rear panel).
Each compartment can remain open to display equipment, accommodate a fabric or wood door to conceal it, or hold a drawer. This modularity lets you adapt the unit to specific needs: a visible amplifier in one compartment, a hidden network player in the other.
The Model 121 belongs to a family of 73 models structured around 4 depths, 5 widths, and 5 heights. This systematic nomenclature simplifies combinations: units can be placed side by side horizontally or stacked vertically using specially designed magnetic feet. A concealed metal insert in the corners of the top panel enables this magnetic assembly without disrupting the cabinet’s clean lines.
Intelligent cable management
The Model 121 includes a centered cable grommet in the top panel and a second at the bottom, allowing connections to run between multiple stacked or adjacent units with no visible wires. For installations where the unit is placed directly against a wall with outlets accessible from the back, the Model 121 can be ordered without the top cable grommet.
The rear panels are a technical innovation unique to Clic. Attached by magnets 5 cm from the back of the cabinet, they can be removed in seconds to access connections, then replaced to conceal the cable network. These panels are available in a standard version with integrated cable grommets or as solid panels on request.
This design without a fixed back panel stems from a specific construction technique that ensures structural rigidity while preserving accessibility. Reinforced corners and precise joinery allow the cabinet to support substantial weight, whether placed on the floor, on supports, or wall-mounted.
Craft finishes and an extended color palette
Clic offers the Model 121 in a range of lacquered finishes (white, black, gray, light gray) or wood veneers (oak, walnut). The water-based lacquer, applied by hand after the cabinet is assembled, ensures durability in everyday use and long-term color stability. Hand application achieves crisp edges and perfectly sealed joints—hallmarks of artisan manufacturing.
Fabric doors come in 10 colors: Charcoal, Frost, Coffee, Black, Dark Blue, Concrete, Latte, Basalt Gray, White, and Olive Green. This acoustically transparent fabric allows remote control of equipment while visually concealing it—an ideal balance for amplifiers and network players with infrared remotes.
To finish cable exits, Clic offers five types of cable covers machined from aluminum or brass, available in silver, black, or brass finishes. Each cover features a discreet engraved Clic logo.
Floor mounting or wall mounting
The Model 121 can be placed on aluminum supports, machined from a single piece for maximum strength. These adjustable feet come in silver or black and allow precise height adjustment. A single set of supports is sufficient for the Model 121, regardless of configuration. Additional support feet are automatically supplied for models that require them.
Wall mounting is achieved using a dedicated Clic bracket that holds the cabinet securely while allowing level and depth adjustments. The system enables flush-to-wall installation, a valuable feature in tight spaces or for a discreet visual integration.
Note that the Model 121 is not suitable for integrating a soundbar inside the cabinet. Only versions designated with an “S” (such as the Model 121S) support this configuration, with recessed center bars to free the full width.
Danish manufacturing using proven methods
All design, development, and production take place in Denmark. Clic sources materials from local suppliers and carefully selects subcontractors. This geographic proximity enables constant quality control and preserves craftsmanship that might otherwise be lost to outsourced industrial production.
The construction technique, refined over years, creates a self-supporting structure without a rigid back panel. This technical achievement is more than aesthetic: it facilitates access to equipment and simplifies cable routing while ensuring the robustness needed to support heavy amplifiers or large subwoofers.
Each cabinet undergoes a full quality inspection before shipping. Joints are checked, finishes inspected, mechanisms tested. This rigor is why Clic furniture arrives fully assembled, ready to house your equipment.
The cabinet leaves the Hornslet factory, also renowned for manufacturing high-end loudspeakers. This dual expertise—cabinetmaking and acoustics—can be seen in the design of Clic furniture, where every element meets both visual and acoustic requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can multiple Model 121 units be stacked?
Yes, all Clic models can be stacked using specially developed magnetic feet. A metal insert concealed in the corners of the top panel allows magnetic attachment of the unit above. This vertical modularity complements horizontal side-by-side placement to create customized configurations.
How do you access the connections once the unit is installed?
The magnet-mounted rear panels can be removed and replaced in seconds without tools. Positioned 5 cm from the back of the cabinet, they provide ample space to access connections while visually concealing cabling when in place. The grommets in these panels guide cables neatly.
Do fabric doors block infrared remote signals?
No, the fabric used for Clic doors is acoustically and visually transparent to infrared signals. You can control your equipment remotely even when the doors are closed. This feature saves you from opening the doors every time you change source or adjust volume.
What is the difference between the Model 121 and the Model 121S?
The Model 121 has two separate compartments, each of which can independently accommodate a door or a drawer. The Model 121S, designed to house a soundbar, can be used as one large, full-width compartment (with recessed center bars) or as two distinct compartments. The standard Model 121 does not allow soundbar integration.
