Clic Classic Series Model 131
Overview
Model 131 from Clic is a 152.2 cm wide modular wall-mounted cabinet designed to organize your audio-video setup while concealing technical elements. Handcrafted in Denmark and delivered fully assembled, this three-compartment model stands out with its 22 mm MDF construction and magnetic rear panels that simplify cable management. Available in multiple finishes and configurations, it adapts to the specific needs of each installation.
A construction inspired by acoustics
Model 131 borrows its manufacturing technique from hi-fi speaker enclosures. Instead of assembling individual 16 mm panels like most manufacturers, Clic uses 22 mm MDF sheets that are bent, glued, and dowelled into a single piece. This folding method, similar to that used for loudspeakers, results in more precise joints and a significantly reinforced structure.
The rigidity of 22 mm MDF allows for a high load capacity, even for bulky equipment. Unlike conventional furniture, this construction does not require a fixed back panel to ensure overall strength. The rear panels of Model 131 are therefore removable, attached by magnets 5 cm from the back of the unit, freeing up space for cable routing or gaining a few centimeters of depth in closed compartments.
Once the structure is assembled, each unit is hand-painted with water-based paint. This manual application after assembly ensures a uniform finish on all surfaces, including edges and joints, which remain crisp and perfectly sealed. Quality control before shipping ensures that each unit meets Danish artisanal manufacturing standards.
Three compartments, multiple configurations
Model 131 consists of three identical compartments, each of which can accommodate a different configuration according to your setup needs. You can opt for an open compartment, install a solid wood door to fully conceal the contents, choose an acoustic fabric door that lets sound pass through while hiding the equipment, or add a drawer for storing small items. The unit allows a maximum of one drawer per compartment.
Internal dimensions vary depending on the chosen configuration. An open compartment offers 162 mm in height, 482 mm in width, and 394 mm in depth (443 mm without the rear panel). With a door installed, usable depth becomes 378 mm (427 mm without the rear panel), due to the thickness of the door, which opens downward from its bottom hinge.
This modularity lets you tailor the unit to different scenarios: an open compartment for an amplifier that needs ventilation, a fabric door in front of a game console you want to control remotely, and a drawer for remotes and accessories. The fabric doors, available in 10 colors, allow infrared remote signals to pass through while providing acoustically transparent performance for speakers or soundbars placed inside.
Integrated cable management
The Model 131’s cable system revolves around several elements designed to discreetly organize connections. A cable pass-through is centered on the top panel, allowing cables to route to a wall-mounted TV or to another stacked Clic unit above. Three cable pass-throughs are also present on the bottom panel, one per compartment, to route cables down to the floor or to a subwoofer.
The magnetic rear panels provide a second level of management. Positioned 5 cm from the back, they create a vertical space in which you can route cables between compartments without them being visible from the outside. These panels are available with or without integrated grommets depending on your needs. To install or remove them, simply pull them off their magnets—no tools required.
If you prefer a front with no visible opening, you can order Model 131 without the top-panel cable pass-through. This option is particularly suitable when the unit is used on its own, with no screen above and no connection to other elements.
Additional cable covers are available as accessories to run cables along the wall to your screen. These raceways come in aluminum or brass, in three colors (silver, black, brass), and feature a discreet engraved Clic logo.
Finishes and aesthetic choices
Model 131 is offered in six main finishes for the body and wooden doors: four paints (white, black, grey, light grey) and two veneers (oak, walnut). The paint, applied by hand after assembly, creates a durable, resilient surface that resists marking. Wood veneers bring natural warmth while preserving the structural properties of the underlying MDF.
The acoustic fabric doors expand the color palette with 10 shades: charcoal, frost, coffee, black, dark blue, concrete, latte, basalt grey, white, and olive green. These fabrics are designed to let sound pass without noticeable coloration while visually concealing the equipment. The bottom-hinged opening makes it easy to access contents without removing the door.
Each finish can be mixed across the compartments of a single unit. There is nothing to stop you combining a walnut door, an open compartment with a white back, and a dark blue fabric door if that combination suits your setup and decor.
Floor or wall mounting options
Model 131 can be installed in three different ways. Wall-mounting uses Clic’s dedicated wall bracket, which holds the unit firmly against the wall while allowing for level adjustment. This system ensures a stable installation even under heavy loads.
For floor installation, Clic offers supports machined from a single piece of aluminum. These feet are available in two colors (silver, black) and include an adjustment system to compensate for floor irregularities. The aluminum provides sufficient strength to support the loaded unit without flexing.
A third option is to stack multiple Clic units using specially designed magnetic feet. This solution lets you create custom vertical configurations by combining different models from the range according to your storage and display needs.
Whichever option you choose, the unit is delivered fully assembled and painted. All that remains is to attach the chosen supports and install the doors or drawers you ordered, already factory-adjusted to the exact dimensions of your configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install a soundbar inside Model 131?
No, the standard Model 131 does not allow integration of a soundbar inside the compartments. Only the S versions in the Clic range have an expanded central compartment specifically designed to accommodate a soundbar. For Model 131, the soundbar will need to be placed on top of the unit, below the screen.
How does the magnetic rear-panel system work?
The rear panels attach to the cabinet frame using magnets, with no screws or clips. To access them, simply pull the panel forward. Positioned 5 cm from the back of the unit, they create a vertical space for running cables from one compartment to another. You can order them with or without integrated pass-throughs depending on your connection needs.
Do the fabric doors really let sound through without alteration?
The acoustic fabrics used by Clic are designed not to alter the sound reproduction of speakers or soundbars placed behind them. They also allow infrared signals to pass through, so you can control your equipment with the remote without opening the door. The downward-opening hinge nevertheless makes quick access easy if needed.
How many drawers can I install on a Model 131?
The unit accepts a maximum of one drawer per compartment, for a total of three drawers if all three compartments are equipped with this option. Drawers cannot coexist with doors in the same compartment—you must choose one or the other for each space.
