Clic Classic Series Model 141
Overview
Clic’s Model 141 positions itself as an audio-video cabinet designed to reconcile Scandinavian aesthetics with functionality. Designed and made in Denmark, this 202 cm-wide cabinet offers four modular compartments that conceal hi-fi gear, speakers, or soundbars while preserving acoustic quality thanks to acoustically transparent fabric doors.
A thoughtfully modular structure for four compartments
Model 141 offers four identical compartments, each of which can be configured in three ways: open, fitted with a door (fabric or wood), or converted into a drawer. This modularity allows the cabinet to be adapted to the specific needs of each setup.
The internal dimensions of each open compartment are 162 mm in height, 482 mm in width, and 394 mm in depth. When the removable back panel is taken off, usable depth reaches 443 mm. For compartments fitted with a door, depth becomes 378 mm (427 mm without the back panel), offsetting the thickness of the opening mechanism.
The doors open downward—an ergonomic choice that makes access to contents easier while preserving a clean design. This specific orientation also avoids lateral encumbrance, which is particularly appreciated in tight spaces.
The cabinet is delivered fully assembled, ready to install. You simply position it and configure the chosen options (doors, drawers). This turnkey approach contrasts with many modular cabinets that require complex assembly.
Acoustically transparent fabric doors
One of Clic’s major innovations lies in its fabric doors. Unlike standard doors that need to be opened to access equipment, these specially designed fabric doors let both sound and infrared remote signals pass through. The result: you can completely hide loudspeakers, amplifiers, or players while using them normally with the doors closed.
These doors are built with a double-frame construction that ensures a refined finish both inside and out. The fabric is evenly tensioned, preventing any deformation over time. Clic offers ten colors: charcoal, frost, coffee, black, dark blue, concrete, latte, basalt gray, white, and olive green. This palette makes it easy to harmonize the cabinet with virtually any interior.
One caveat regarding the white fabric: Clic advises against placing equipment behind this door that requires daily access, as the light fabric is more susceptible to dirt. The doors can be mounted either on the right or left of each compartment, according to preference.
For those who prefer a more traditional aesthetic, wood doors are also available in the same finishes as the main cabinet.
A cable management system designed down to the smallest detail
Model 141 includes two cable ports as standard: one centered on the top panel (ideal for routing cables from a TV placed on the cabinet) and one in the lower section. Additional ports can be ordered if the setup requires more pass-through points. Conversely, the cabinet can be ordered without the top cable port for a completely flat surface.
The back panels are a central feature of the system. Mounted 5 cm from the rear of the cabinet, they are magnetically attached, allowing removal and reinstallation without tools. These panels conceal cables while ensuring optimal airflow around the equipment. They include openings for cable routing, but can also be ordered without perforations for an even cleaner look.
The 5 cm space between the panels and the back of the cabinet creates a continuous technical duct. When several Clic cabinets are placed side by side, this space allows cables to run from one cabinet to another without ever being visible, even with all compartments open. This holistic approach to cable management proves particularly effective for multi-device setups.
Finishes and options to personalize every cabinet
Model 141 comes in six finishes. Four water-based paints are offered: white, black, gray, and light gray. These polyurethane paints are durable, resistant, and environmentally friendly. After assembly, each cabinet is hand-painted, ensuring crisp edges and perfectly sealed joints—a level of finish that’s difficult to achieve with industrial paint.
Two wood veneers round out the range: oak and walnut. These natural veneers add warmth and character while retaining the brand’s signature Scandinavian minimalism.
Five types of aluminum cable covers can be added to elegantly conceal visible cables. Available in silver, black, or brass, these plates engraved with the discreet Clic logo fit all models from the brand.
Regarding feet, Clic offers supports machined from solid aluminum blocks, available in silver or black. These feet are height-adjustable to compensate for floor irregularities, ensuring perfect stability. A single set of feet is sufficient per cabinet, regardless of width. Additional support feet are provided automatically for models requiring a central reinforcement.
For wall installation, a specific wall mount enables adjustable and secure fastening. This system allows adjustment on two levels: horizontal leveling and bringing the cabinet flush to the wall, ensuring a perfectly flush-mounted result.
Versatility for every configuration
Model 141 lends itself to multiple uses. Its height of 205 mm makes it an ideal stand for a television, with enough space underneath to house a soundbar, a Blu-ray player, a game console, or an amplifier. The side compartments can accommodate bookshelf speakers hidden behind the fabric doors, creating a discreet yet high-performing audio system.
Note, however: unlike the “S” versions in the Clic range specifically designed to integrate a soundbar inside the cabinet, Model 141 is not suited to that configuration. The soundbar must be positioned in front of or above the cabinet.
The robust construction allows heavy equipment to be placed without concern. Tube amplifiers, turntables, or even multiple stacked devices all find their place without the structure flexing. This solidity stems from the particular construction technique employed by Clic.
The Classic series, which includes Model 141, offers 55 different models across four depths, five widths, and five heights. These models can be combined in multiple ways, side by side or stacked. A specially designed magnetic foot system facilitates stacking: hidden metal inserts in the corners of the top panel accommodate these magnetic feet, allowing another Clic cabinet to be superimposed in a perfectly stable and aligned manner. This modular approach enables evolving configurations that adapt to changes in equipment or living space.
A different approach from Model 140
In the Classic Series, Model 141 stands out from Model 140 primarily in depth. With a total depth of 45 cm, Model 141 offers more interior space than Model 140 (37.5 cm depth), allowing it to accommodate deeper equipment. This 7.5 cm difference can be decisive for some large amplifiers or network players. Both models share the same width of 202 cm and the same height, as well as the same finish and accessory options. The choice between the two therefore depends mainly on the depth of the equipment to be housed and the depth available in the room.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you really use a remote control through the fabric doors?
Yes, the fabric used for the doors is specially designed to let infrared signals pass through. You can control your devices without opening the doors, exactly as if they were open. This IR transparency works with all standard remotes.
Can the compartment configuration be changed after purchase?
Absolutely. The back panels can be removed magnetically without tools, and doors or drawers can be added later. Clic offers all these elements separately, allowing the cabinet to evolve as needed. The only restriction concerns the placement of cable ports in the top panel, which is defined at the time of the initial order.
Can the cabinet support a large TV?
Yes, the structure of Model 141 is designed to support a significant load. The construction technique without a fixed back panel paradoxically creates a very rigid frame. Many users place 65-inch or larger TVs on it without any issues. For very large sizes, Clic recommends wall-mounting rather than using feet for optimal safety.
Can multiple Clic cabinets be stacked?
Yes—this is one of the system’s strengths. Metal inserts are hidden in the corners of the top panel of each cabinet. Clic’s special magnetic feet attach to these inserts, allowing another cabinet to be stacked in a perfectly stable manner. This vertical modularity enables evolving setups, from a simple TV stand to a complete hi-fi library.
What is the difference between Model 141 and Model 140?
Depth is the main difference: 45 cm for Model 141 versus 37.5 cm for Model 140. This translates into an additional 8 cm of usable depth inside the compartments (394 mm versus 314 mm). If your equipment is less than 30 cm deep, Model 140 will suffice. Beyond that, Model 141 is the better choice. Both models share the same width, height, finishes, and compatibility with all Clic accessories.
Can Clic cabinets be wall-mounted?
Yes, all Clic models can be wall-mounted using the dedicated wall bracket. This mounting system offers two adjustments: horizontal leveling and bringing the cabinet flush to the wall for a flush installation. The structure without a fixed back panel is specifically designed to support significant loads, even when wall-mounted. The wall bracket is sold separately and must be matched to the dimensions of the chosen cabinet.
