Meliconi FS-400 FLAT FB CG
Overview
Mounting a TV on the wall so it doesn’t stick out, like a picture frame, remains a wish for many households. With only 2 centimeters between the screen and the wall, this fixed mount from the Flatstyle range delivers on that promise while supporting substantial loads. Italian manufacturing and a five‑year warranty demonstrate clear confidence in the product’s durability.
A minimal profile for a “picture frame” effect
The silhouette of the FS-400 FLAT FB CG is deliberately discreet. Once the metal plate is screwed to the wall, the whole setup disappears behind the TV, leaving only a screen that appears to float two centimeters from the wall. This slim profile is particularly well suited to living areas where aesthetics matter as much as functionality: the TV blends into the decor rather than standing out as a technical device.
The structure combines metal and ABS, a compromise that maintains rigidity while keeping the weight of the mount to just over one kilogram. The 44 × 42 cm dimensions accommodate VESA 200 × 200, 300 × 300, and 400 × 400 mm standards, covering almost all 40- to 75‑inch TVs available on the market.
Load capacity matched to wall type
The strength of a wall mount depends as much on its structure as on the quality of its anchoring. The FS-400 FLAT FB CG clearly distinguishes two situations: on a solid wall (concrete, brick, breeze block), the maximum load is 50 kg, while on a plasterboard partition it drops to 35 kg. This distinction, clearly indicated by Meliconi, helps avoid unpleasant surprises and allows an informed choice.
For a 65‑inch LED TV weighing around 20 kg, the safety margin is therefore comfortable in both cases. However, some very large OLED or QLED models can come close to the limits on plasterboard, which makes it important to check your TV’s weight before purchase.
Simplified installation with the Fastblock system
The installation process is broken down into two distinct stages. First, two metal rails are screwed to the back of the TV, onto the VESA inserts. Then, the assembly is hooked onto the plate previously fixed to the wall. An audible click confirms that the lock has engaged.
This Fastblock mechanism, developed by Meliconi for its entire Flatstyle range, significantly reduces handling time and limits the risk of awkward moves when you’re holding a fragile screen. The supplied kit includes universal Fischer anchors compatible with both solid walls and drywall partitions, the screws needed to attach to the TV, and a spirit level to ensure a perfectly horizontal installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the mount suitable for curved TVs?
Compatibility mainly depends on the position of the VESA inserts on the TV. If they sit on a relatively flat section of the back and follow the 200 × 200, 300 × 300, or 400 × 400 mm standards, installation is still possible. You must check that the curvature of the screen does not create interference with the wall once mounted.
Do the supplied Fischer anchors work on all wall types?
The included universal anchors are suitable for solid walls (concrete, brick) and standard plasterboard. For specific configurations such as aerated concrete, plaster blocks, or honeycomb partitions, separate dedicated fixings may be required.
What cable thickness can fit behind the TV?
The 2 cm gap between the wall and the screen allows for standard HDMI cables or angled connectors. Thick cables or bulky power bricks may be problematic. Using flat cables or angled adapters optimizes the visual result.
Is the mount compatible with soundbars?
The FS-400 FLAT FB CG does not include a dedicated soundbar mounting system. You will either need to place the soundbar on a piece of furniture underneath or use a separate wall mount for the soundbar. Some TVs also offer proprietary mounting systems for their matching soundbar.
Is there a version for TVs over 75 inches?
The Flatstyle range includes the FS-600 FLAT FB CG, designed for 50- to 86‑inch screens with a higher load capacity (60 kg on solid walls, 45 kg on plasterboard) and extended VESA compatibility up to 600 × 400 mm.
