Klipsch PRO-18-GS

The PRO-18-GS is the 457 mm (18-inch) ground stake that Klipsch designed for the Pro Series Landscape line: drive it into the ground, clip the satellite speaker on with a quarter turn, and the installation is done. Sturdy, discreet, and built to stay outdoors year-round, it is the direct companion to the PRO-650T-LS speaker.

Tool-free installation in seconds

The PRO-18-GS uses a 45° rotation locking system. The speaker sits on the stake and locks with a simple quarter turn. No screws to tighten, no drill required. A directional arrow engraved on the stake lets you orient the speaker in the right direction from the moment of installation, eliminating guesswork once the wiring is done.

For installations where unwanted tampering is a concern (high-traffic areas, semi-public spaces, accessible gardens), an included locking screw allows the speaker to be secured to the stake. This is a welcome addition in commercial or high-traffic residential settings.

A structure built to stay outdoors

The stake is molded from ABS reinforced with 25% fiberglass. This composite is impact-resistant, rust-proof, and handles temperature variations, humidity, and UV exposure without issue. It is the same type of material used in the housings of Klipsch landscape speakers themselves, ensuring consistent durability between the mount and the speaker.

The security plate, made of stamped galvanized steel, measures 178 mm (7 inches) in diameter. It sits at ground level around the stake and serves two purposes: stabilizing the assembly by distributing pressure over a wider surface, and preventing the stake from sinking or shifting over time due to frost, rain, or the weight of the speaker.

Discreet and customizable finish

The matte brown color of the PRO-18-GS was chosen to blend into a natural outdoor environment: soil, mulch, bark. However, Klipsch has made it possible to paint the stake to suit other settings. A gray stone wall, a light wood deck, a white gravel bed: the finish can be modified so that the mount visually disappears into the surroundings.

Place in the lineup and compatibility

The PRO-18-GS is specifically designed for the PRO-650T-LS satellite speaker, the 165 mm (6.5-inch) model in the Pro Series landscape line. Klipsch also offers a shorter stake, the PRO-10-GS (254 mm / 10 inches), which uses the same mounting system. The choice between the two depends primarily on the height of surrounding vegetation and the desired sound effect: the 18-inch model positions the speaker higher, above low plantings, while the 10-inch keeps it close to the ground for a more discreet integration. For cases where a ground mount is not an option (wall, pergola, awning), Klipsch offers the PRO-1-SM wall mount bracket as an alternative.
