Overview

Four channels, a half-rack format, dual low- and high-impedance compatibility. Presented by Integra at CEDIA 2025, the 4125DSP is the entry-level model in a new range of four professional amplifiers (4125DSP, 4500DSP, 8125DSP, 8500DSP) designed with field integrators. It targets residential and commercial installations where power is required in a compact footprint, with quick setup and simple maintenance.

A half-rack format that fits anywhere

The 4125DSP measures 220 × 44.5 × 320 mm and weighs 2.8 kg. It is a 1U half-width chassis: two units can sit side by side in a standard 19-inch rack. A rack-mount kit is included, but Integra also includes a desktop mounting kit, opening up installation possibilities outside a rack, in a technical cabinet or closet.

The rear panel uses a white background with black markings, a pragmatic choice that makes the connectors easier to read during wiring, including in poor lighting conditions. The speaker outputs use Phoenix terminal blocks, a screw-down connector commonly used in professional installations, more reliable than standard spring terminal blocks.

Hybrid Class D amplification: low and high impedance

The 4125DSP delivers 4 × 125 W into 4 or 8 ohms in low-impedance mode. In high-impedance line mode (70 V or 100 V), it provides 2 × 250 W. This dual capability makes it possible to mix, within the same installation, traditional low-impedance speakers and 70/100 V lines. This is an advantage for projects where nearby zones (office, meeting room) powered in low impedance coexist with long lines (hallways, common areas) wired in high impedance.

Class D technology guarantees high efficiency and limited heat generation, two valuable qualities in such a compact chassis. Integra indicates that the channels can share their power, which brings the capacity to 250 W per channel in certain configurations. The 4125DSP does not support BTL (bridged-tied load) mode, a function reserved for the higher-end 4500DSP and 8500DSP models. For installations requiring more power per channel or a load below 4 ohms, you will need to move up the range.

Integrated DSP and Klipsch presets

Digital signal processing is integrated into the amplifier. It includes a parametric equalizer, limiters, and compressors, all configurable channel by channel. Digital conversion is based on a 24-bit / 48 kHz DAC, a decent standard for music playback and sound reinforcement.

One of the most practical aspects of this DSP: Klipsch speaker presets. Integra, which belongs to the same group as Klipsch (Premium Audio Company, a subsidiary of Gentex Corporation), has developed processing profiles tailored to Klipsch installation speakers. Equalization, limiting, and compression are preconfigured for each compatible model. The integrator loads the preset corresponding to the installed speaker and gets consistent calibration without additional acoustic measurements. This is a real time saver in the field, even if fine adjustment remains possible via the configuration interface.

Network configuration and home automation drivers

The 4125DSP connects to the network via Ethernet or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Once connected, it provides a web interface (GUI) accessible from a browser, with no specific software to install. This interface allows adjustment of inputs, zones, outputs, and backup settings.

Integra provides dedicated software, Intuitive Control SW, aimed at complex installations in residential or commercial environments. Drivers are available for the main home automation control platforms: Q-SYS, Control4, Crestron, RTI, Elan, Symetrix, AMX, and URC. For an integrator already working in one of these ecosystems, the 4125DSP integrates into the existing control chain without additional development.

The device supports an optional wall-mounted zone controller, the ZC1. This PoE unit (powered by the network cable) mounts on the wall and provides direct access to volume, source selection, and zone navigation, all protected by a 4-digit code. Up to eight ZC1 units can be paired with a single amplifier. Available in black or white, it blends into refined environments without standing out.

Input and output connectivity

The rear panel offers four unbalanced RCA analog inputs and one coaxial digital input, all equipped with the auto-sensing function (automatic active signal detection). On the output side, there is a digital coaxial output and Phoenix terminal blocks for the speakers.

The absence of balanced inputs (XLR or Euroblock) limits integration with certain professional equipment. In an environment where cable runs are long or subject to interference, unbalanced connections can be problematic. This is a compromise linked to the product’s positioning and format: the 4125DSP remains above all a compact integration amplifier, not a stage sound reinforcement model.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the 4125DSP operate in bridged mode (BTL)?

No. BTL mode is not available on the 4125DSP. This function is reserved for the 4500DSP and 8500DSP models, which can double their power per bridged channel pair.

How many ZC1 wall controllers can be paired with a 4125DSP?

Up to eight ZC1 controllers per amplifier. Each ZC1 is powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet), which simplifies wiring since a single network cable is sufficient for both power and communication.

Can two 4125DSP units be stacked in a 19-inch rack?

Yes. The half-width format allows two units to be placed side by side in the same 1U space. This is a way to get 8 channels of 125 W in a single rack space, even if the 8125DSP offers the same power in an integrated form.
