This sound-absorbing panel addresses the problem with a stretched fabric face that blends into the walls, an aluminum frame, and an acoustic core calibrated to treat mid and high frequencies, where most of the noise disturbances in a workspace are found.

A stretched face without visual interruption

The panel’s principle lies in its smooth, continuous surface. The acoustic fabric is stretched over an aluminum frame, which conceals any visible fixings and allows several panels to be aligned without a pronounced joint. The result resembles wall cladding rather than a technical accessory added after the fact.

Each panel measures 80 × 119 cm with a thickness of 4 cm. The frame is available in three finishes, natural aluminum, black, or white, enough to match the border to the fabric or the wall depending on the desired look. An integrated mounting system is included, which simplifies installation and alignment of the modules. The aluminum frame provides the necessary rigidity so that the fabric tension remains even over time, without hollows or wrinkles.

What the absorber treats in the room

The Chroma - Panelling works over a range of 400 to 5000 Hz, the band that covers the human voice and a good portion of indoor ambient sounds. Its acoustic class C, with a weighted absorption coefficient (αw) of 0.65, places the panel in the category of effective absorbers without being fully absorbent, a compromise that suits rooms where you want to reduce echo while preserving a certain liveliness of sound.

In practical terms, it lowers reverberation time, attenuates flutter echoes bouncing between two parallel surfaces, and limits excessive reverberation in empty or highly reflective spaces. The most direct benefit concerns speech intelligibility. In a meeting room or lobby, understanding the person you are speaking with more clearly without raising your voice changes the quality of everyday interactions. The absorption coefficient is published for thicknesses of 40 and 60 mm, which makes it possible to compare the standard model with the thicker Plus version depending on the target treatment level.

Three fabrics, three levels of fire protection

The composition varies according to the finish, and this choice determines the fire rating. The Suede fabric corresponds to the Furniture Grade level. The Felted fabric reaches the Fire Rated level. The Twill fabric combines fire resistance and Covid-19 Safe compatibility, meaning a cleanable covering.

In all three cases, the structure is based on the same aluminum frame and a PET Sound acoustic core rated Euroclass B, a material made from polyester fibers that provides absorption. The fabric therefore changes the appearance, feel, and fire behavior, but not the acoustic heart of the panel. This point deserves attention when ordering, because a public-access building often requires a specific fire rating, and only the Twill finish allows regular disinfection.

Maintenance in hygiene-sensitive places

The Twill finish is intended for environments where cleaning is frequent. It withstands common antibacterial and antiviral agents, alcohol-based solutions, bleach-based products, sprays, and sterilizing wipes, without the fabric deteriorating. This cleaning compatibility is offered only on Twill, a detail to bear in mind for a hospital or paramedical specification.

This positioning responds to a measured reality in healthcare facilities, where noise levels reach high values that weigh on patient rest, privacy, and staff stress. Wellness spaces such as gyms, swimming pools, or spas share the same constraint, with added humidity and foot traffic. The model’s place in the Chroma range

Panelling is the entry-level format in the Chroma line, at 80 × 119 cm and 4 cm thick. Above it, the Plus version uses the same footprint with a thickness of 6 cm, which extends absorption lower into the spectrum. The Double SQR (119 × 119 cm) and Max (119 × 240 cm) formats cover larger surfaces, each available in standard or Plus variants.
