Long-grain copper/perfect surface copper

The Type 8 uses a carefully developed combination of extremely high purity 5LGC° long-grain copper and perfect surface copper (PSC) conductors. All conductors are rigid, which avoids interactions between the strands, a major cause of distortion in cables.

Surface quality is essential because a conductor can be considered a guide rail for the electric field inside the conductor and for the magnetic field outside the conductor.

LGC has fewer oxides in the conductor material, fewer impurities, fewer grain boundaries, and undoubtedly better performance.

The amazingly smooth and pure PSC further eliminates harshness and significantly increases clarity compared to OFHC, OCC, 8N and other copper.
