The Avalon K Broad combines two functions in a single panel: it treats a room’s acoustics and adds depth to it. Artnovion has opted for a parametric design whose appearance changes depending on the viewing angle; when assembled, several modules form a continuous pattern running across an entire wall section.

The technical section combines absorption and diffusion. The core of the panel combines high-density recycled PET, calibrated-cell foam, and a wood structure. The treatment covers 315 to 5000 Hz, for acoustic class C (αw = 0.65). In practice, it lowers reverberation time and distributes the sound field more evenly, two qualities that are useful in a Hi-Fi listening room as well as in a home cinema lounge.

The format is generous, 595 mm wide by 2380 mm high, with a thickness of 49 or 113 mm depending on the modules. Mounting is integrated into the panel. The choice of finishes remains broad: suede fabric in around ten shades, natural wood veneer or lacquer, enough to match the acoustic treatment to the room’s décor.
