Klipsch PRO-180-RPC LCR (In-Ceiling, In-Wall Speakers)
Klipsch has used the acoustic components from its Reference Premiere floorstanding speakers for the PRO-180-RPC, this time housed in a ceiling-recessed enclosure. The 20 cm Cerametallic woofer and 2.5 cm titanium dome tweeter, coupled to a round composite-coated Tractrix horn, cover a range from 52 Hz to 23 kHz with dynamic, precise sound. Its 96 dB sensitivity makes it possible to take full advantage of modest-power amplifiers.
The SecureFit system simplifies installation. The mounting tabs are tightened by hand to a preset force, preventing overtightening and the risk of cracking the drywall. The module is then screwed to the frame with machine screws, for a more stable installation than conventional wall mounting.
In terms of finish, the frameless magnetic grille almost disappears into the ceiling. Klipsch supplies two shapes, round and square, which can be painted to match the room. With a 100° coverage angle, this speaker disperses sound widely, whether for multi-room audio or as a surround channel for home theater.
