Meze Audio Ultra silver mini XLR to XLR cable (Headphone Extension Cables for HI-FI Headsets)

Meze’s most refined cable accompanies the ARTA headphones, and its dual 4-pin mini-XLR termination makes it compatible with the Elite and Empyrean II. This version connects to the source via a 4-pin XLR plug, the standard format for desktop amplifiers with balanced outputs.

The conductor is 7N pure silver (99.99999% purity), the most conductive metal available. Forty 0.08 mm strands form a continuous sixteen-to-eight braid, hand-assembled. Throughout the signal path, no solder interrupts the run; Meze reserves Jensen 5% silver solder solely for the terminations. The intended signature remains transparent and uncoloured, with extended highs, controlled bass and pronounced micro-detail.

Then there is the craftsmanship. Sleeves and Y-splitter are made of die-cast zinc alloy with a PVD finish, in a Streamline Moderne design by Szabolcs Ferenczi. Each cable is assembled to order in Baia Mare, Romania, one unit per day, within three to four weeks. Rigid case and Alcantara cloth included.
