With the Series 2.2, Oray updates its motorized floor-rising ALR screen for ultra-short-throw projectors. The principle remains the same: the screen rises from a floor-standing housing, extends upwards and sits just behind the projector, which produces a large image from just a few centimeters away from the wall. After viewing, it retracts into its housing and the room returns to its usual appearance.

The housing features a new finish with cleaner lines, making it easier to integrate into a living room. The ALR (Ambient Light Rejection) screen benefits from a revised optical treatment. Its gray surface reflects light from the projector below towards the viewer while rejecting light from windows or lamps. Blacks remain deep and contrast holds up well, even when the room is lit.

The quiet motor is controlled by remote control or a switch. A safety stop locks the mechanism when the housing is closed, and the top bar closes the housing to protect the screen from dust.
