Tributaries: all products
Tributaries Cables is an American brand of high-end audio and video cables founded in 1991 by Joe Perfito. The brand’s history is closely tied to its founder’s experience in the audio industry.
Joe Perfito, an electrical engineer by training, worked for 15 years at McIntosh, where he became the sales director. This experience allowed him to develop a passion for designing and manufacturing quality audio products.
Understanding the importance of cables in audio systems, Perfito decided to create a company specializing in the design of high-quality cables. He founded Gordon J Gow Technologies, Inc., named in honor of Gordon Gow, one of McIntosh’s founders and his father-in-law.
The name “Tributaries” was chosen for the cable brand as a tribute to Gordon Gow. From its inception, Tributaries stood out for its approach based on solid scientific principles, which was considered radical at the time.
Tributaries cables are designed according to three fundamental values:
- Use of very high-quality copper
- Proper separation of conductors
- Optimal shielding
Over the years, Tributaries has continued to innovate and develop its products. After 20 years of continuous development, Joe Perfito collaborated with renowned cable designer Jay Victor to create a new range of high-performance cables aimed at high-fidelity, giving birth to the CLARUS brand.
