Lector is an Italian brand born in 1982, originally specializing in the manufacture of tonearms and amplification electronics. The sole purpose behind the company’s creation is, and remains, to reproduce the illusion of real or “live” music in your listening room as perfectly as possible. Today, Lector offers a vast catalog of high-end electronic products designed and manufactured with artisanal care: power filters, integrated amplifiers, preamplifiers, and transistor and especially hybrid amplifiers. The rigorous control and adjustment of each device is done manually by the founder, Mr. Romagnoli, limiting production to a few units per day; the wait is largely compensated by the guarantee of having a product with optimal performance. In 1982, Lector was the first to offer an amplifier with mixed tube/transistor technology, a technical originality that remains one of its strengths. Its products are already a reference in Germany and the United States.
