The amplifier has always been at the heart of a high-fidelity system, but in the new audio landscape, amplifiers now require a “brain”. The RA-12’s brain is once again the Wolfson WM8740 24-bit/192kHz DAC, a component more often found in very high-end audio products, which ensures the RA-12 can fully exploit its digital inputs and Apple-compatible USB port.

The traditional audio section has not been forgotten either, as the RA-12 also offers four line-level analog inputs as well as phono inputs for a turntable. The RA-12 can be controlled from the buttons on its front panel via an infrared remote control, or via the RT-12 and the Rotel Remote app for iPhone and iPad.

Finally, the RA-12 is not just a very versatile device, it offers a very high level of performance with 60W of amplification per channel, putting music at the top of its priorities.
