Audio Quality

Despite its small size, the Real Cable iPlug-BTR offers excellent sound quality. It supports the aptX codec, which allows for “CD-quality” audio streaming with a resolution of up to 16 bits/44.1 kHz. The aptX technology reduces the amount of compression required for Bluetooth transmission, resulting in better dynamics and greater clarity compared to standard Bluetooth audio.

When connected via the optical digital output to a high-performance external DAC (digital-to-analog converter), the iPlug-BTR is capable of delivering even more detailed and well-controlled sound with better bass response.

Range and Reliability

With a wireless range of up to 10 meters in open space, the iPlug-BTR offers a stable Bluetooth connection for comfortable listening from your couch or desk. The receiver works optimally when there is a clear line of sight between the transmitting device and the iPlug-BTR, without thick walls or large objects in between.

Some users have reported reception issues when the transmitting device is more than 5-6 meters away or in another room. However, these issues are likely caused by interference from other nearby wireless devices or obstacles blocking the Bluetooth signal, rather than a defect in the iPlug-BTR itself.
