Focal Pack Aria 948 walnut

Natural Fiber

The two 21 cm woofers and the 16.5 cm midrange have an exclusive membrane called Flax, made of a sandwich of two 0.04 mm Kevlar sheets encasing a very thin 0.4 mm French-origin flax fiber. In addition to its visual beauty, it satisfies all the criteria of a high-fidelity membrane: . lightness: the hollow flax fiber being twice as light as fiberglass, it allows for increased dynamics . rigidity: the sandwich technique mastered by Focal on the Utopia series is used here to obtain a much better bass control thanks to improved piston action . damping: the optimal control of vibrations due to the internal structure of flax and the composite nature of the membrane provides a neutral and natural listening experience, without coloration.

Silky Treble

The inverted dome, a true Focal signature from the beginning, optimizes the coupling between the dome and the voice coil by providing better spatial dispersion, less directivity and significantly increased efficiency. This contributes to unrivaled spatial rendering, with the help of Focal’s new TNF process: the aluminum-magnesium membrane has a Poron suspension, a shape-memory material derived from the famous Focal beryllium tweeter. Distortion is thus divided by 2 in the area of maximum sensitivity of the ear. In addition, a waveguide improves the horizontal directivity which stays within ± 0.5 db. The incomparable stability of the Aria 948’s soundstage is no accident.

Upper Class

A pair of speakers must be beautiful and magnificently finished in addition to being rigorously designed, as they sit in the living room in full view of the lady of the house. Placed on its elegant aluminum base serving as the dual Power Flow vent providing impact and dynamics in the bass, the Aria 948 can proudly show itself off. Noble materials are part of the package, such as the beautiful walnut veneer on its sides, the leather covering of the front panel adding a touch of refined luxury. The happy enthusiast will be able to derive immense musical pleasure thanks to a deep and dense bass, a natural midrange without coloration and a perfect focus made possible by a high-level tweeter, a worthy heir to the prestigious beryllium models of the Utopia series.
