The new CX range replaces the highly popular Azur line, bringing with it improved performance and an even more elegant aluminum design. The chassis of each component has also been redesigned to reduce resonance and offer a purer musical experience. This new range takes a step forward in digital audio, as evidenced by the network connection on most of the components, the new Cambridge app, and the integration of Bluetooth.

The entire new CX range has been designed in Cambridge’s offices in the United Kingdom, drawing on all of its experience and expertise to create the best systems.

The CXR products are the Home Cinema amplifier range of the new Cambridge CX line. Both open the doors to a 7.1 system with multiple connectivity options for the ideal source. Digital or analog for traditional music lovers, Ethernet and Wi-Fi for the connected, and HDMI for movie buffs.

The CXR200 allows an amplification power of 200W per channel for 2-way amplification. However, it stands out from its younger sibling with its unique “Zone 2” function. Indeed, thanks to this new amplifier, you can listen to your favorite music or watch your favorite movies in 2 different rooms, from the same CXR200. Independently manage playback in the 2 zones using the remote control or the app available on the PlayStore and iTunes.

Just like the CXR120, you will have the ability to play “4K” files and 3D videos either from an external player or via Ethernet from your NAS.

The CXR200 incorporates some of the network functionalities of the CXN, as it processes data up to 24/192 kHz.

DSD is also supported for SACDs from a compatible player.

The CXR200 opens up the possibility of a Bluetooth connection thanks to the optional BT100 dongle, which will allow you to play music available on your smartphone or tablet directly on your system.

Finally, for radio enthusiasts, the CXR200 includes an FM tuner and offers, thanks to its Ethernet connection, more than 20,000 worldwide radio stations.
