Overview

The new CX range replaces the highly popular Azur line, bringing with it improved performance and an even more elegant aluminum design. The chassis of each component has also been redesigned to reduce resonance and provide a purer musical experience. This new range takes a step forward in digital audio, as evidenced by the network connectivity on most components, the new Cambridge app, and the integration of Bluetooth.

The entire new CX range was designed in Cambridge’s offices in the United Kingdom, drawing on all of its experience and expertise to create the best systems.

With the CXC, Cambridge Audio has developed a CX-branded transport. Not content with benefiting from some of the technologies of the 851C, the flagship player of the British brand, it is completely identifiable as a transport derived from the latter. In fact, its performance is beyond what is expected from a player in its price range.

It features characteristics that have made Cambridge Audio renowned, such as a toroidal power supply that minimizes distortion to the maximum, but also the S3 servo technology, responsible for the disc rotation. As the CXC is limited to playing traditional music discs, it is even more precise than a universal player that has to handle different rotation speeds depending on whether the medium is a CD, DVD or Blu-ray. Cambridge Audio wanted to optimize its transport for audio discs.

The CXC is perfect if you still have a large CD library at home. Although it has been designed for perfect use within the CX range, you can naturally add it to your existing system, regardless of the brands that compose it.

Similarly, if you already have a complete connected system and are looking for a quality transport that won’t disrupt your current setup, the CXC will connect easily to your converter or even your network player.
