Distinguishing Between the 3 Focal Membrane Technologies

• Key Points
  • W Cone: The best of Focal Technology from the Utopia range
  • High-end design and construction, affordable luxury.
  • High Gloss finish. (Lacquered Black)

Woofer and midrange with “W” cone: The “W” composite membrane technology is a Focal patent. The “W” stands for Glass-Glass, as it consists of two glass sheets placed on either side of the central foam core. This is the latest evolution of the “W” membrane for ultra-precise control of parameters according to the glass layers and foam thickness. This technology has been chosen by Focal to equip its top-of-the-line “UTOPIA”

A new Poron suspension softens the sound of the TNV tweeter, this Focal innovation allows for perfect midrange reproduction and true high-frequency dynamics.
