The NuPrime DAC-10 combines the best of digital audio processing technology with an extremely precise stereo preamplifier, capable of satisfying the most demanding audiophiles. Every aspect of this device’s design has been crafted to deliver the most intense musical experience.
The preamplification stages of the DAC-10 are based on the topology of the reference model NuForce P-20. The volume control, with 99 steps of 0.5 dB, is managed by a series of precision calibrated resistors, switched one by one. The level of each input can also be adjusted individually.
The NuPrime DAC-10 has a large number of analog and digital inputs. It incorporates the best 32-bit converter currently available on the market, an ESS Sabre ES9018K2M Hyperstream type, capable of a dynamic range of 127 dB. The circuits of the device are strictly symmetrical for the left and right channels. Ultra-low noise JFet transistors are used for the input stages. The analog outputs offer dual gain: 2 or 4 V on RCA and 4 or 8 V on XLR.
Finally, to offer its full capabilities, the NuPrime DAC-10 has a very carefully designed linear power supply section with an oversized toroidal transformer.
